November Poem 2013

first frost, fading fast
could only be seen
looking true north

gazing east
the blare of sunlight
near-blinded me
no linen cover or yellowed lawn
remained visible

with autumnal termination
inevitability comes
and
recognition once again
that flow of hands deceives
and leaves us dazed
and solemn that another
cycle nears completion
